Arrival, Notre Dame, and the Seine River
We had a perfect flight over arriving on time. After immigration and collecting our bags, we loaded the bus for the hotel. Speaking of our hotel, we are a 10 minute walk straight to the Eiffel Tower; it’s a pretty nice location!! Upon arriving to the hotel, we changed and stored our luggage until check-in. Then, we headed off on foot and metro to the Notre Dame cathedral, stopping for lunch and some sightseeing along the way. We did our tour of the recently renovated cathedral and then made our way back to the hotel, stopping at an ATM machine along the way. As you may know, subways are always an adventure and the students did a great job getting on and off, and staying safe! Back at the hotel, we checked in and then had an hour to unpack, rest, shower, etc.. From there, we walked over to the Eiffel Tower and down to our boat for a river cruise on the Seine. It was relaxing and the views were spectacular. We then made our way to a restaurant for dinner and filled our tired bodies. By the time we got back from eating it was almost 9:00 and we were all exhausted and went straight to bed. Tomorrow is a big day as we are gone all day on a city tour, a visit to the Louvre, and then we get to go up the Eiffel Tower! Saving tower photos for tomorrow’s post, for today, here are a few shots from our various adventures.
