Chocolate, Giverny, and Parisian Dinners
This is a more detailed post on what we did yesterday, our third and final day in Paris. After two very long days, we were able to sleep in finally! After a great night’s sleep we took the metro to the chocolate museum Choco Story for a tour and workshop. The museum was very educational and in the final exhibit rooms there were all sorts of amazing things made out of chocolate, the largest being a replica of the Eiffel Tower. We participated in a chocolate making workshop and the students were very creative! At noon we walked to an area where we ate a quick bite at the shops of choice. Then we did an afternoon excursion to Giverny to see the home, studio, and gardens of Claude Monet. It was breathtaking! Then we headed back to Paris for dinner. We split into two groups. Students were given the address of a real French family who were going to cook for them. They navigated the metro, walked to find the homes, and proceeded to have a wonderful home-cooked meal socializing with Parisians. It was a hit! All that ended late and we went to bed because we had to get up early to pack up and begin our voyage to our next home in Tours.
