Paris, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower
We spent another day enjoying all aspects of Paris! After breakfast, we took a bus tour. Then we started our walking tour of the Latin Quarter. We passed by Notre Dame again with no one there because of the hour :) and then proceeded through the quarter to the Pantheon. We hopped back on the bus and enjoyed a break at Les Invalides. By then the Paris Marathon had started and we got to watch the runners before catching the subway to the Louvre. We had a quick lunch and then started our tour of the Louvre. From there we walked through the Tuileries Garden and took the subway to the Arc de Triomphe. Then we went to the Eiffel Tower. Most of us took the lift (elevator), but 5 students climbed it. From there we walked to dinner and everyone ate a lot. The mouse at the end was outstanding! We took the subway back to the hotel. Some went up to bed, others went to the local market to stock up on snacks and drinks for tomorrow’s adventure, and Ms. Spaulding took a group back to the tower to see it up close in lights. Tomorrow, we have three big experiences planned and several smaller ones. Stay tuned.
